The Weeknd’s “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength)” Heads to Pandora Music clip

The Weeknd is back with some new artwork for his Avatar: The Way Of The Water contributions.

In December, The Weeknd released “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength).” The track serves as the Avatar 2: The Way Of The Water movie’s official theme tune. Nearly a month after the movie’s debut, he provided the official images today. Quentin Deronzier’s video, which features flashes of The Weeknd in between scenes, evokes the enigmatic fascination of Avatar. Even though the singer isn’t necessarily the main attraction, the music video strengthens the connection between his song and the movie.

The Weeknd talked about how his involvement in the song felt like a turning point in his life. He had just left high school and was homeless when the first movie came out, so he had no idea what his future held. But he thought that the movie was “such an escape” from his real existence. Cameron also requested expressly that The Weeknd provide the music.

Being a part of something like this, he said, “feels like kismet and is a full-circle moment for me because it is such a significant film for me.”

James Cameron, Swedish House Mafia, and The Weeknd collaborated to make the song a reality. “Getting input from James while creating the song was the best part, and I made sure that all the words and tones matched the ideas of the movie. He claimed that he had revised the song five or six times in order to make it flawless.
