James Mathers Obituary, James Mathers Peacefully Passed Away
James Mathers, 68 years old and a resident of Cobalt, Ontario, passed away unexpectedly, and his family shares this news with a heavy heart. James passed away on March 22, 2023, at his house. He was surrounded by his devoted children at the time of his passing. Hazel Mathers’ devoted spouse for 48 years before she passed away. May God allow them to both rest in peace. We shall never forget the love that they had for one another and for their children and grandchildren.
James was a devoted father and will be remembered fondly by his children Lee Mathers (Terri) of Cobalt and Anna Williams (Paul) of New Liskeard. James was a guy who took great pride in his family. AJ Mathers and Owen Williams thought the world of him when he played the role of “Papa.” You could always count on “Papa” to provide them with a delicious sugary treat and a funny joke that would make them grin. Willard and Doris Mathers, James’s brother Richard Mathers, and his sister Cindy Cavanagh all passed away before James was born. James was named after his late parents. James was cherished by his siblings Larry Mathers (who was married to Shirley), Donald Mathers, Timothy Mathers (who was married to Shelley), and Chris Mathers (who was married to Rachel), as well as by his many nieces and nephews.
James has lived in the area for a significant amount of time. He was a man who put in a lot of effort, was dependable, and was fiercely independent. You could always count on him to be there for you, even if he was busy providing for his family through his hard work. Everyone knew James could attest to the fact that he was quick-witted and has an incredible sense of humor. During James’s final days, Dr. Sears and Dr. Besner showed a great deal of compassion and generosity, and the family would like to express their gratitude to both of them. The funeral care for James has been committed to the Buffam Leveille Funeral Home at the Haileybury Location, which can be reached at 705-672-3122. In accordance with James’s instructions, his body will be cremated, and there will be no funeral or visitation services.
